ECU Code 32

Hello,

This question will be for those who did the vacuum hose simplification.
I did that about 4 months ago.
Everything works fine, only EGR code 16 is on all the time.

For the past week, I let the car sit, battery disconnected.
Now I started the car, and immediately engine check light is on. Normally with EGR, it lit after the engine is warmed up.
So I shut it down, and run ECU Code check by Jumpering TEN and GND.
That is how I got the Code 32.
I look around where the plug is, I think its the yellow solenoid plug, but all resistors looks okay. I don't know where else to look.
Obviously the FSM is not good anymore, since I did the simplification.

So, ECU Code 32 is for Switching Solenoid.
This solenoid is no longer there. Would it be possible that the resistor blew up? thus creating open circuit then gives ECU Code 32?

Anyone with experience failing resistors?

Jonski, you may have the answer for me :))

Thanks,
Reza

the switching solenoid is on the ACV, have you removed this also?

You probalby just have a contact problem, i get those all the time. I really doubt the resistor could have blown.

It is under the manifold so it is a pain to check but it probably is just a contact. i don't know how it works in CA but it shouldn't do anything on the car except for a code.

I removed all the emission stuff. Its the third solenoid from the back on the solenoid rack. I can see the plug and the resistor in there, but no way of checking it out other than opening UIM.

HEheheeh....

I drove the card hard last night. Left it cool overnight, and this morning after I got to auto-x place, the code dissapear.

I guess the car just not happy sitting on jackstand.
