easy one-plug socket size

what size plug socket to use? its not the same as my integra i know that!

airborne 04-30-02 09:34 AM

uh, please?

airborne 04-30-02 12:14 PM

a search turned up 13/16 for 2nd gens...lots of helpful info but no size for 3rd

MastaCow 04-30-02 12:37 PM

I just used a plug socket that they sell at Home Depot called "spark plug socket".

It should be the same size as a 2nd gen. What size does your Integra use and why doesn't it fit the 3rd gen? too small? too big?

airborne 04-30-02 12:58 PM

either 3/8 or 5/8, forget. it appears too small, maybe just not deep enough though. its hard to see down there! just want to pull one plug to verify the engine is flooded so i don't want to get into it yet.
thanks

I'm about 99% sure its a 13/16... but I could be wrong.

not to be a dick but shit man why don't you just go to a hardware store and buy a bunch of deepwhell sockets?

coz i'm sitting here at work wishing i could be home deflooding engines and tracking down electrical gremlins!

and why is this such a difficult question? i checked the workshop manual and its not in there.

I also think it is 13/16

kundo 05-01-02 01:40 AM

I looked in my garage for my old plugs but couldn't find them so I can size them. My guess is to go with the majority and go with the 13/16.

airborne 05-02-02 08:08 AM

13/16 it is. thanks for the educated guesses.
hopefully the next person who needs to know will find this thread!
