another weird thing; the newest MT rear iron plate part no. N3G1-10-C50 also isn’t coming up on the US parts, but the old part no. N3YC-10-C50 is shown in stock at the IC PDC.

The N3G1 is a different part, its got the plug for the oil pressure sensor installed, and the N3YC doesn't (its possible there is something else different). its a really minor difference, but its there.
in Japan you can get either one.

So it’s not just engines that are on backorder, but major engine parts as well. I had placed an order with Motorsports for front & center REW iron side plates and then called to see if there was an ETA because they’re both on backorder. The rep told me they have orders waiting for 70 center plates and 23 front plates. Wow … :uhh:
.

i wonder if the FD stuff is on backorder because they are making the range extenders right now?

Essentially. After tossing close to a dozen rx8 shafts (cheap, light, weak) from EP engines with out of spec runout in the last year or so I'd be interested in something that gives radial support closer to the nose, but I wouldn't given up axial/thrust support for it.

Seems like as much as all those shafts add up to you might at least consider attempting to try and evaluate it once, but we likely disagree once again.

but only came back to this part of the discussion to note that E&J also offers one for the rear as well, though not indicated on their website.

otherwise not looking to engage or convince anyone of anything, so contact E&J for the details if you feel so inclined.

I've already mentioned the fix for those that aren't after the lightest shaft possible. My clients that are asking me to eek out as much as possible on their EP engines are given this same info. Try harder with your barbed comments next time.

I’m sorry you took it that way or if I missed your own intention.

The reply was sincere, not as you mistakenly represented it. Not even sure how or why you saw it that way. I know we disagree at times, but it was only an acknowledgment of a possible expectation, not a judgement or statement of any kind.

Reasonable people can disagree, but some people even disagree with that idea now it seems (in general, not directed at any person in particular).
