Dyeing Tan doors black?
Has anyone on here dyed their tan door panels black? I have a friend that did this while restoring a fiero and it turned out great in his car. It has held up well for 5 years now since he has done it. He even daily drives the thing and the panels still look good.
I'm sure there is a difference in material between those panels and the FD's panels though since the FD panel looks to be some form of hard foam. Anyone been successful at this? |
insomniphu has changed his panels from red to black and it's been good since, i'm sure you can find something to dye it with

go to your local car parts store.
If you have an auto value, or part source etc. They'll have spray paint and die for any type of acrylic and or vehicle material. from plastic dash, to carpet, to car seats!! then take out the panels and die away. why would you not want the stock tan look?? If you go for it, keep everything stock color, don't go ricing out the entior thats so 1990's.. just my two sence. do you have tan seats?? frankly I love the look of the tan interior, it gives a look of luxery to the vehicle! |

Do yourself and your FD a favor. Get the real black pannels.....
My whole interior was painted black by the previous owner and it looks like shit and eventually flakes off. Just wait till someone has a complete interior for sale and grab it then. You'll be much happier with the end result |
I agree
