Drivers side mirror fell out how do you fix?
 

My mirror fell out at the track today and I had several people look at it and try to help me put it back in but could not figure out how to get the motor part separated from the mirror part so I could get to the screws to screw it back into place. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I had the same thing happen to me while driving on the freeway. Luckly I caught it before it went for a tumble. To remove the mirror you must use a heat gun to loosen the white glue behind the mirror. To put the mirror body back on the electric motor part, just stick the nylon threads in the holes and use the motor to turn them in. Once in you can push on the mirror body to get it centered . Reheat the white glue and stick the mirror back in. It's a pain in the ass but it can be done. If you break the mirror, no worries, it's only about $15.
