Driver Fender Removal? How to?

Hit and Run has left us with a driver side door that won't open. I think if we had the fender off, we could push out the dent enough to let the door work, at least until we get it to the body shop.

Never took the fender off before and I don't see instructions in the FSM.

how hard is it to remove and does anything else have to come off first?

Thanks for any help.

There is a bolt that holds the fender to the body that can only be accessed by opening the door. Wait for the body shop. They will weld a stud to the dent and pull it out with a slide hammer.

3 bolts across the top of the fender, under the hood. 2 bolts under the car, up to 3 bolts connecting the fender to the front bumper cover, and 1 bolt behind the door.

the one behind the fender is tricky to put back on, but if it is cuacked "not sure if i spelled that right" don't mess with it. you will end up paying more. other wise it should pop right off

As stated ^^ there are studs in the bumper that protrude into the fender. You can remove the retaining nuts, but you might have to loosen up the bumper from the radiator support in order to get enough clearance. I've never taken the fender off with the bumper still on, but it's pretty straightforward.

Don't forget about those annoying fender splash guard liner screws...

that sounds right but i believe theres another one more bolt for the fender to chassis.. so..
3 top
2 bottom
1 inbetween door
3 front bumper
1 front chassis
