Downpipe help!!!
Hey we've got everything good to go except the rear top bolt on the turbo-side of the downpipe. We can't get to it...what do we do? We took off the abs but we still can't get to it...any ideas?

It's been a while since I did my downpipe, but I'll bite.
(now you are talking about removing a downpipe, and not the pre-cat, right?) I assume that you have removed all the intake piping and are coming in from the top side? Or are you trying to get at it from underneith? I seem to recall that I needed to change combinations of sockets/extensions to get at each stud, but I did find one that worked correctly. -bill |
Worst case, remove the rear turbo inlet pipe, air pump, crossover pipe, and the whole y-pipe assembly. Then you'll have complete access, and a lot of experience working on that side of the car.
But really the answer is to come up with an appropriate socket wrench combination. |
yeap, if you remove the y-pipe you got all the room
