down pipe replacement

I am going to replace my stock downpipe while I am changing out my oil return line gaskets. I am always reading about boost creep. Will changing out the stock downpipe cause boost creep and are there any recommended brands you would suggest. thanks

The Bonez SS pipe is very high quality. No you won't get boost creep....

aslong as you keep the main cat you wont get any creep but once you go staight exhust then your going to have to port the wastegate or put some kind of restrictor plate

If your budget allows, a heat coating or simply wrapping the the downpipe is a good idea no matter what brand. You'll like the reduction in underhood heat from your old stock downpipe/pre-cat and should see a nice performance bump too.

I was messaging another member and he said he got an additional +2 psi boost creep from and intake/DP/cat back exhaust system install. Do I need to worry about that?

He didn't get creep, he experienced elevated boost, which is expected for so many airflow mods and is easily corrected with a boost controller. Creep cannot be fixed just by a boost controller, please use the search function for "boost creep".

Your confusing Boost Spike and Boost Creep. Different causes and different cures.
From the stiicky definitions:
Boost Spike - A sudden surge in boost, usually appearing between 4500 and 5000 rpm. This is dangerous on stock ECU systems, which sometimes do not detect and compensate for this extra boost before detonation occurs. Boost spikes often begin to occur after installing a modification that increases flow, and can be resolved in most cases by installing a better boost controller.

Boost Creep - A steady increase in maximum boost, usually at higher rpm. Creep is caused by the exhaust flowing more than the wastegate and turbo can control. The (only) solution is to either restrict overall flow or enlarge the wastegate opening. Installation of a cat-less midpipe often cause boost creep.

I was gonna buy this dp+mp combo, does anyone know what the brand is? or if these are good? Will i get "boost creep" with this set? the rest of my exhaust is stock.

If you had read the resources given to you, I think you should have noticed that midpipe is the big mod that can open the door to boost creep. Too many people experience major boost control problems because this combo is cheap and easy to install, but they don't know that they need to port their wastegate and have a boost controller to truly be safe. If you installed it, it's not likely that you'll get creep because of the stock cat-back, but it's still possible. And when you upgrade your cat-back it will almost surely creep.

I think you would be better served by buying an aftermarket cat-back and downpipe and leaving the cat alone. And installing a boost controller.
