Don't let your friend help when jumpstarting your car! Electronics Fried!
Well her eis how it went. I only drive the 7 on the weekends at best now. I took the car out on Sat to tune on my new boost controller when I stopped at a friends house. When I came out I realized I left my parking lights on. I got the cables and hooked it to my battery and got in the car. My friend hooked the cables up to his car and I went to crank it when I realized that something was wrong. I immediately jumped out and yanked the cables off. When I realized what happened it was too late. He mixed the cables up and put them on backwards. Needless to say this does not lead to good things happening. After a lot of diagnozing I think I have come to the following conclusion. I think all of the onboard computers are fried.
After a 3 hour search I was able to replace the 120 Amp main fuse on the battery. I then replaced a few other fuses that were blown inside the car. It still wouldnt' start. For some odd reason I carry my stock computer around with me in the trunk and I switched it out and the car fired all be it running real rough with the old ecu in. The ABS light stays on now like it is bad as well. I drove the car home and parked it. I have yet to try the PFC back in the car but is there anyone out there that is optimistic enough to reassure me that there is some other solution. Any suggestions are welcome. Where can I find an ABS computer reasonably? Where is the cheapest place to get a PFC? What other computers should I check for fryage?

That doesn't sound right. The fuses are supposed to protect you from that. The main fuse should have blown instantly. See if you can pull some error codes with teh stock ECU.

I have checked every other fuse in the car and the only ones that were blown were a couple of 15 Amp fuses inside the car. One was labeled Room and the other was the rear wiper. I haven't replaced the rear wiper one yet. I switched out the stock ecu with the PFC to check it again and it still won't fire. I was wondering if anybody that has had an ecu go bad can tell me whether the commander is completely functional when the ecu is not? The commander on mine works and I tried reinitializing it and the car still would not fire. Any other input is welcome.

haha went through something similar few weeks ago
It's the rear wiper fuse in the interior fusebox that's causing the abs light to be on, your a/c is problaby not working either
Plug in ur pfc and u should be fine.
