Does the oil level sensor need a gasket?

I'm having a slight leak from this. When I put it back on, it was just a metal to metal connection. If this is correct, any siggestions on how to stop the leak? I double checked the bolts and they are tight.

Thanks - Tom

Apply silicone gasket maker around the opening for the sensor on the oil pan. I believe there is a gasket that is made for that, but silicone would work every bit as well. Just don't fowl-up the sensor with silicone puting it back through the hole.

There's an o-ring that goes around the sensor and you should see a groove for that. Call Ray at Malloy Mazda and he'll get you one.
