Does this look right.

Iv machined my primary fuel rail by 1/8 inch so i can use some spare secondarys in there. However they dont sit flush like they origionally did as the tapered part has been machined away whthin that 1/8 of an inch. Do i need to countersink the top of the fuel rail so they sit flush.

Pressure test it and find out, either way I would be nervous to run this on my car.

i would countersink it. make sure the orings are snug. youll find out eventually..

nvm, don't countersink it. machine a larger hole on the top to compensate for the lip on the injector. like a step. im not a machinist by any means. but can i see a picture of the top? looks like you would be leaving a pretty thin wall uptop.

Im going to countersink it. Without measuring it i would guess its only around a 15 Deg taper so wont leave it too thin up top.

Just wondered if this is a common thing though. Surely anyone who had performed this mod by removing 1/8" has faced the same problem.

mine were just like that, I just torqued to spec (maybe a little over), used loctite and pressure tested them. been using them for a couple thousand miles with no problems.

I did replace all the o-rings, rubber spacers, diffusers, fpd, fpr, etc.
