Does anyone understand the Defi instructions
 

My wife bought me the DEFi BF-series gauges: oil pressure / water temp / boost (along with the A/F & fuel press D-series)

I am about to get those today or tomorrow, and I was curious how the install goes. I went to the Defi site to view the install procedures:

And on the part about the oil press, it says that I need a sensor attachment 'commerically available'. Do I need the extra piece and/or where can I purchase one? Do they carry those in an auto parts store??

Anyone ever do the install for the Defi's???

Oh yes you need that beause the threads are different. Autozone has a kit that Sunpro makes that has the thread adaptor you need. Here is the thread I created...and below is what I said in it!

Just some FYI for ya'll out there that need to adapt your oilpressure sensor to NPT. Sunpro makes a kit part# CP7573. I know this is hard for people to get sometimes so that's why I posted this!

Oops:banghead: just looked more closley at the pic on the Defi site...sorry this won't work....I don't know where to get that from but what you can do is make a "T" set up with some fittings from Homedepot or some place that sells pipe fittings. You then will need the part from above to adapt to the pipe fittings...Or you can just keep waiting for some who knows of this part to post something!

Did the Defi BF...I dont remember using an adapter. I got one of these oil relocation kit to have both pressure and temp sensors mounted: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=46100 Seems to screw right in.

Where did you mount that?

This is very similar to what I used. This is not the same brand that I bought. I'm not sure which one I have. It goes right where the oil filter mounts. Then the oil filter screws onto the adaoter.
