Does anybody make tanks for OMP adapter?

I'm thinking about using OMP adapter from rotary aviation, but I didn't find any tanks for sale, only DIY pictures..

Is there good looking quality product out there?

I have made several custom tanks for two cycle oil . The one I made for rotorbrain was mounted where the air pump was with a matching cap to the oil fill cap .My tank is between the cold air box and the innercooler . It holds over 3 qts. Rotorbrains was made from round tubing mine is from sheet metal . One I made was round tubing with two chambers ,one was for two cycle oil and the other end was a catch can , it mounted where the air pump was . The tank needs to be 6 inches higher then the omp and vented . Make your own and get what you want .

I have airpump and stock airbox. If I'm to make one - it will have to be some kind of irregular shape.

wait im a lil lost perhaps its me being stupid.. but you can bypass the OMP from pulling oil from the pan, and pull it from a seperate catch can type thing? so you can run 2 cycle oil to be burned etc?? is that what im reading or am I totally off??

Yes. Exactly. You can use separate oils for OMP and engine.

ohh crap... sorry i didnt mean to hijack ur thread but i had no idea that was even possible.. is there a write up on it anywhere that u know of? and if thats the case u can then run pure synthetic couldnt ya for the motor and then 2 cycle synthetic oil.. best of both worlds!!

Basically, yes. However, you now have another reservoir to maintain. Unlike Power Steering or brake fluid, it will go down and needs to be monitored.

No offense, but this is one of those modifications that if you need a write up; then you probably shouldn't be doing it.

The tank between my M2 air box and the ASP innercooler is very irregular in shape and angles down to the fans .I made it fit the shape of the space for the most volume . It holds over three qts I was going to put a senser in it so I would know when it was low ,with a light in the dash .But I never designed one . To much to do in a small amount of time .

I built one that mounts where the air-pump should be. I used a really nice pop-up and vented gas filler, baffled it & there is a low level light that feed into the Motec and sets off a warning on the dash. The sump oil also has it's own input.
-6 bung welded on the bottom as well as a 1/2"npt for the low level sensor.

I should mention - the motor is a frankenstien creation living in an FC

from what i gathered. i can buy an adaptor from RA and put that with the omp then that will allow me to pull oil from an outside source which would be my catchcan etc fulled with 2 cycle oil.. and monitor it ever fill up or every 2 fill ups etc..

am i at least close? and mahjik i take no offence to it. im just tryin to learn a lil.. i find this very exciting and intresting topic.

Yes, this is correct. Its been discussed many times though if you search forum. The only thing I didn't find - where to mount tank on stock-ish engine bay car.
