Do you drive your 7 in wet weather?
Do you drive your 7 if the forecast is rain?
Yes No Have no other car |
Only once.....when i bought it. I had to drive from Manassas, VA to Tulsa, Ok and it rained a couple times. But nope...The only water it sees now is the car wash.
I drive mine in the rain all summer long. It's a car, it's meant to be driven, why pay that much money for it and not drive it?
yes, but staying off boost and below the speed limit. basicly not being stupid and knowing the consequences.
If its raining, or rain is in the forecast, the FD stays in the garage. If I happen to get caught in the rain, I drive it like an old lady.

I have daily driven my FD for over 2 years, rain or shine. Never had any problems controlling the car in the rain, whatsoever. Certainly handles more securely than my 79 RX-7 ever did in the rain.
ever since i put on my S03's i feel very secure in the rain...plus it's also my only car. :)
I try not to drive in the rain (and if I have to, it's old lady time like adam c) because [1.] my Toyo RA-1s don't like standing water, and [2.] there's too many idiots out there who don't know how to drive in the rain, and stand of good chance of blowing it and smashing into my FD somehow.
Rain? What's that?
<<--- I live in the desert, and have another car for commuting. |
i dont care how much i spend on insurance and what not.. my 7 will never see rain cause im not gonna risk hitting boost on wet surfaces, depending on my driving skills or not..
By staying off boost and with my SO3's I've been able to tackle the wet roads ; )
Yes, just with a bit more caution than normal. Dry or wet, I always pay attention to my tires. More importantly I stay away from other drivers who hold less patience if possible, especially SUV owners. Many of them like to ride your bumper if they feel you are not keeping pace.

Not only is he driving in the rain ..... he has his window open.
Heres a link: www.don't driveintherainwithyourwindowopen.com :) |
I agree that driving my fd in the rain can be a bit scarey, but its my only car so I have no choice.
Link doesn't work
I've never found it scary in the slightest (though I'm not silly to push it ultra hard in the wet). I wonder if there is a corelation here between tire/wheel combo and scared FD owners?
I never drive it in the rain although it's my only car for one reason. I can't see it dirty. One time i really had to and for sure handling with my michelin pilot sport was not a problem even in full boost.
I think I've driven my FD in the rain twice, and I didnt enjoy it. I avoid it whenever I can..

NO, but only because my car has no air, i still gotta figure out why no air comes out of the vents, i know i have no ac, but the heater should still work.......anyway, basically I don't drive it in the rain, but only by default because i have no defogger
i have to drive mine even in the snow... now thats a challenge...
The 7 is my only car and I got Perelli rain tires yet I still try to drive safely.
