do most exhaust shop carry flanges...

...made for the FD? I want to get a custom 3" exhaust built but I don't want to use the stock flanges (i think they are 2.5in) I want 3" flanges...Plus, I plan to get rid of the cat at the same time. I recently purchased a Jet GForce ECU, and my current mods are y-pip, and 2.5" muffler, can my car handle the midpipe? Thanks

i had my exhaust done at a1 muffler in santa ana and they had them. you should just call them to make sure.

You realize that any "legitimate" shop will refuse to do that work as it is illegal for them to do so. Still, I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding one that will do it....

Sorry to use your post as a soapbox Legendr35, but why are so many people just jumping into getting a midpipe? I guess to me, the cons of having a midpipe outweigh the benefits.

Cons: no emissions, smelly operation, loud, creates boost spikes and creep -- just because you have an ecu to dump more fuel, doesn't mean you're not hurting your car, especially the stock turbos, backfires, flames (I realize this is desirable for many :) )

Pros: more power

When I eventually get to the point of ecu, intake, high-flow cat, cat-back exhaust, intercooler, running 12 lbs of boost, I should be making well over 300 rwhp. How much more do you need for a street car? I know, you ALWAYS need more power, but to me, the midpipe just doesn't make sense.
