Do I need to remap the ECU after upgrading the Intake?

Current mods:
RB Downpipe, Cat back, 2001 spec Efini twin-turbos and JEC Fuel Pump.

Piggy back ECU has been added with appropriate air/fuel/boost/timing mappings.

Boost pattern: 14psi primary and 12psi secondary

New Mods:
M2 style cold-air intake.

Any ideas? I am thinking it should be OK but then again I don't want to blow the motor up with any boost spiking. :)

Thanks!

you will be fine on the stock ecu if all you've changed is the intakes.

Since you've already modified the ECU settings, it will depend on how aggressive they were before you upgraded the intake. I'd check with the person who set up your piggyback.

What year is the car? Has it got the 8-bit or 16-bit ECU? Every RX-7 sold in the US was equipped with the older 8-bit ECU, so we won't be able to give you much advice regarding the newer 16-bit ECUs.

It's a 93 and it has an 8-bit ECU with a Tech-tom piggy back.

Good point however, I will check with the people who ordered the ECU and see what the deal is. I am pretty certain that they configured to car to run a little on the rich side with those settings but I'll check anyways.

Thanks for the advice.
