DIN Gauge Pod

Does anyone know where to get a gauge pod/panel that would fit in the empty space above/below a single DIN radio. I'm not a fan of A pillar pods and I kind of like my center channel. I think the gauges would look like they belonged and visible just above the head unit. The only one that I've found so far was a 3 gauge one, but I'm only running 2 gauges. There are indications that what I'm looking for is available on the market, but no luck finding any.

I made mine with a piece of plexiglass and a 2" hole saw ...

Bill M's gauge bracket is a winner. Gauges located there look like oem.

That looks like what I'm looking for. You guys both use this? Does it fit in either spot? It appears that it was designed for a Miata 96 and up. Thanks for the info.

I use it. It works in either slot. Has clips on both sides so it can be removed and reinstalled without sticky tape.

95-98 nissan 240sx has din blank out panels. you can drill the gauge holes into them.

i got some from a dealer once to make my gauge panels. worked out nice.

the good thing is that they have tabs on either side so you can screw them into the radio brackets just like the radio/pockets do. solid mounting works great.

I ordered the Thompson dual guage insert. I'm hoping that will do the trick. Thanks for the help.

this is really common mod on miatas as well. Almost all the suppliers have the Din 3 guage pod with angled pods and without.

Who supplies the DIN angled pods?

Not sure if you can get the Thompson one, but I did find this one.

Thanks for the suggestions to get the insert from Thompson Automotive. The piece looks and fits great. Looks completely stock.

I should've done that instead but I ended up putting a triple gauge pod where the center speakers are.

Yeah it's definitely a clean setup. I got the double gauge pod for now, may upgrade to triple down the road. I'll take a pic of mine when I get a chance. I have my deck on the bottom with the gauges on top. The gauges have the smoke look and matches my new Kenwood KDC-X996's smoked face. Plus the gauge pod that Thompson sells is waaaay cheaper than the center speaker mount or column mount pods.
