Diffrent sound?

Ok so im driving and my car is running great, after a nice spirited drive i stop at a light, my car is idling at 750rpm, and before it used to idle at 1000rpm, and now kinda has a "lumpy cam" noise? can that be normal from a hard run? And i notice my oil pressure is a bit lower than what it was normally at, and just now checking the oil its a bit on the low side (planning on toping it up.)

Also some other questions, i just got my car back, its been a year since i've driven it, its a single gt35r turbo with a small street port, what oil should i be using in the engine.

Last thing, i bought some carbon fiber scuff plates (go in the door jams) any one have any experience in installing this kinda item?

Ok, this is the last thing, I have a kaaz two way clutch put in...it chatters really really bad during low speed cornering and going from a standing point..is that normal

Thanks

The idle issue is a tough call on a modified car. What else have you done to it? What kind of tune are you running? Check back with us after you've topped off the oil, though I don't think that's the cause of the idle issue, if it is an issue at all. My car idles at a steady 800 rpm without load after it's completely warm.

I use mineral 20w50, I don't know why a different turbo would require a different oil.

The stock scuff plates simply clip into place; I imagine that aftermarket pieces must do the same.

With the KAAZ, a little differential chatter is normal. This is common in most, if not all, clutch-type differentials.

I'm just scared i blew something, since it sounds a bit different than before. The engine is rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago, and the turbo has around 250 miles on it.

Oh i figured out the scuff plates, i had to actually screw them in.

Thanks for the info on the clutch, i do have solid mounts so i guess that makes a difference.

For the oil pressure problem, I'm almost positive its because the oil pump is directly linked to the eccentric shaft, therefore a lower idle would be the cause of the problem. I hope I got this correct, I'm pretty sure I just read this from Mahjik several days ago, but I couldn't find it in his old posts:(

Funny idle - check for any vacuum leaks after the throttle body. A vacuum cap that's popped off is a very likely culprit. A vacuum leak will raise the idle, make it rougher, and drop your manifold vacuum.

Tough call but either a vacuum leak or the TB AWS.
