Differences in Resonated Mid-Pipes

I've noticed that there are a few different resonated mid-pipes. What are the differences?

I've noticed the rx7store.net resonated mid-pipe seems to use a magnaflow muffler.

On the other hand, the rx7.com Bönez resonated mid-pipe is a completely different design.

I've searched and found some info on the rx7store.net resonated mid-pipe, but can't find much on the Bönez. The Bönez version looks lighter maybe...?

Thoughts?

(Also, I'll be removing a Pettit high-flow cat mid-pipe. Will this make the exhaust louder or quieter?)

Without knowing what resonator is being used on both sides (although the RX7Store is probably using Magnaflow as you mentioned), its hard to say what the real differences would be.... I doubt there would be much difference between the two. Some resonators are better than others, but coming from a high-flow cat, all resonators are going to be louder than what you have.

The Bonez one looks very similar to the shape of my RE-A Ti res box...it reduced noise level compared to a silencer box like the rx7store one. I did notice the only change was at mid range rpm's where it was quieter but higher rpm's was louder. It also seemed a little more responsive with the smaller res box...
