Difference in Hatches

Does anyone know what the difference is in the rear hatch meant to go with a Sunroof, moon roof and solid roof?

The PC; it has 3 different Parts No.

FD01-62-020D (Steel Sun-RF)
FD02-62-020D (W/O Sun-Rf)
FD03-62-020D (Glass Sun-RF)

Hah? I never heard that? I swapped out my MB touring with a base hatch because I didn't want to mess around with the spoiler and its holes.. It fitted fine.. I don't know what the difference is.. Only thing I could think of is this:

1. Base - NO holes
2. R1 - Holes for the spoiler
3. Touring - Holes for the spoiler, 1 x for the wiper, 1 x for the washer fluid extractor

My unspoiled Touring does not have holes for a wing. I suspect your hatch had them as part of a dealer-installed option.

But why then, are they described as: W/O SunRF, W/ Glass SunRF and W/ Steel SunRF?

That is really crazy. We all know there really isn't any difference, as there have been countless successful swaps/repairs documented.

Odd.

This one really deserves an explanation.
