Diff suggestions. TII s4 or Kaaz 2 way
I'm running a ls with about 500 ft lbs of torque and I use it as my drift car. Should I run the tII s4 diff or a. Kaaz 2 way. The cobra swap will be done next year probably

You will break the T2 sooner or later with that much Torque. Chances are you'll break the Kaaz unit as well. I'd save money, stick with the T2 and get the cobra swap in asap. And as you probably already know wheel hop is not your friend and will kill the diff faster than just about anything.

Ok thanks. 2 way is just gonna be for me to finish off this drift season

If you drive the car on the street i wouldnt want to use the kaaz unit.. too much noice uncomfortable
If money is not an object i would get the OS giken unit. Used on it on my car and it was the most comfortable one and much higher quality than the KAAZ unit. Its an "Exotic" jdm part so it can be relatively expensive. +1 on the cobra unit but it costs a lot and requires fabrication to fit it there |
I get brand new Kaaz 2 ways for 750 so ill go that route. I'm not gonna drop stacks on a diff that I'm only gonna use for 2 months

You can rebuild the stock TII diff with thicker clutch plates which will be a cheaper option than going with a Kaaz and it works wonderfully and QUIET.... I've never seen a Kaaz LSD break in any platform from my 2 years of following the sport back in 2006-08
If you're going with a Cobra diff after the season is over, then you might as well stick with the less expensive option to tide you over so you can get the new diff sooner. |
