Diameter of Stock Exaust piping

Hellom,

I am going to be buying a new muffler for my car...

What is the diameter of the stock exhaust piping

My car is a 93 Rx7

What muffler would you guys suggest?

And what inlet diameter should i go with, 2.5" or 3"

Stock is somewhere in the 2 to 2.5" size. 3" is always the recommended pipe size for a turbo car.

You may also want to look at pre-made cat-back exhausts. You can buy a muffler and have a shop weld pipe up and make a system - this will save money many times, but it's really up to the muffler shop if they do a good job. I've seen more crappy muffler shop exhausts than not myself, whereas a good premade cat-back is a simple bolt-on and will fit and look great.

What size inlet piping for the muffler would you reccmend to get, for the stock ehaust setup?

Should i match the inlet piping of the exhaust piping, or go with a 3" inlet for the muffler?

A cat-back specifically made for the FD so that it will bolt directly to the catalytic converter and use the stock exhaust hangers. Do yourself a favor...

I recommend the Racing Beat twin tip.

What exactally are you trying to go for with your exhaust? Loud? Sporty? Quiet? More information is needed to give you the best advice.

listen to jimlab, he has more knowledge than many of us combined.

don't just buy a new muffler and have a shop weld it on, that's putting a band-aid on the problem, and these cars don't deal well with band-aids
