Diagnose my problem

I got in the car and drove one mile, the coolant light came on and the car started overheating(according to the coolant guage). I pulled over and opened the coolant cap and a bunch of coolant spewed out and some of it got on me but it was cold. So what could it be? coolants cold but motor is over heating. Could the coolant be unable to make it to the motor? I recently put in a Fluidyne radiator, did the vacuum hose job, and changed all the coolant lines( turbos, and the lines under the extension manifol) could the thermostat be stuck closed? help! please

water pump probably toast otherwise you have an obvious blockage but I doubt it due to all the new coolant and radiator. Did you remeber to refill with distilled water and coolant?

Yes I put distilled water, 30% coolant, and a bottle of Redline water wetter. When the water pump goes bad doesn't it give some warning signs instead of it just totally shutting down all of a sudden? I also did the throttle body coolant by pass mod, could I have done something wrong to stop coolant from going to the motor?

sounds like the thermostat is stuck closed. the water in the engine is hot, and the water in the rad stays cold becouse the thrmostat won't allow the flow to happen.

I finally found the problem today! I took everything off and found that the coolant hose under the extention manifold had a big tear in it. Now I just need to know why I can't get any boost. What do you guys think? I did the vacuum hose job and now can't get any boost. When I try, the car starts to choke and back fire. Any suggestion?

Dave,
I hate to say it man, but re-trace all your vacuum hoses, one by one.
