Debating

If any of you guys were going to buy a 7 for about 6k, but the only warning advisoring it says was "needs ENGINE WORK" what would you guys come to conclusion of what the car could and might need, and how much would it run about? cause i'm really interested in this 7. has 68k mileage. looks in mint condition, only probably is the engine work. if someone out there could help a bro out i'd appreciate it

Six grand is a good price, even if it needs motor, tranny and turbo rebuild. This is assuming the interior and exterior are in great shape. What mods does the car have?

agreed, 6 grand is a good price if it's a manual, has good exterior/interior.

even if it needs a completely new motor/new turbos/new tranny, it's a good price.

You'll get a pretty much new car for it when you are done.

Just make sure the car has a clean title and the frame is straight.

You are looking at between $4K and $7K to get it back on the road. There are several variables to take into account. Engine replacement is an excellent time to do some mods since everything is readily accessable. Like everyone else has said, if it is clean it is definitely worthe $6K, but it is going to take a lot of work to get it back on the road.

Rated R1 is right.....you're probably looking at another $4,000 to $7,000 on top of the $6,000 you'll pay to buy the car to get it right. That is unless the seller has misdiagnosed his problem, which is not impossible with these cars, in which case you're getting a real steal.

Yeah non shalantly (sp.) check the map sensor. If the hose is disconnected pick this car up immediately! LOL
