Also, are both headlights functional, particularly the right headlight witht he FEED intake? Someone told me once that it doesn't work anymore once you install it, but I was under the impression that it still works...

All the carbonfibre splitters were cracked and split, chassis bent so badly that the bottom of the rear strut brace was ripped out, when you looked at the rear of the car, one side of the car was sitting about 3-4inches higher and the rear pillar had a bit bend in it. It originally didn't look so bad till you started really looking at the damage.
No pics because I felt really sorry for the owner, it was his first time on the track with the car. |
Link to thread?

its truly sad.

What a Rookie and what a waste of a SHOW CAR.
Damn. Don't track it (or Dragon-it) unless you're prepared to lose it.
it's sad to see a beautiful car ruined.
except for the wheels and tires that WAS a really nice FD.
You can't bag the owner for binning it, if it is true,at least he knew what he bought and was trying to learn how to drive it properly. FD aren't show ponies and I'm sure most will agree it only takes a small mistake in one to have a massive accident. At least he's alright and he didn't kill someone on the street. I say props to him for trying to learn in a controlled environment instead of choosing to wipe out someone's family on the street

I'd be interested to hear more follow up on the car. The Supraforms post says it was his first track day, but if you follow the link that was posted above people state that the car was tracked multiple times by the new owner and had pictures of it at a track day and no mention of it being totaled.
Now...it's certainly a possibility that it was wrecked at a track day as that's what the new owner is doing with it, but at least part of the above story is wrong so I'd like to know if the rest is true or not. |

its been sold again to a 3rd owner, after it got banged up by the previous
This is why when ever I sold my FD in the past I never looked them up to see what happened to them... it is a damn shame what happened to the car :(
It always sucks selling a car you put so much time into..... You will get a new one one day
