I find it easier to read if you just use lower case letters, rather than alternating between all caps and caps on every word...

Plenty of people have gutted the pre-cats, but it's a lot easier just to buy a downpipe from one of the myriad number of aftermarket places that offer them for the FD.

Precat + fiber wrap = sexy :)

Dazed and Confused??

I had that same problem. Turns out it was my ecu going into a fail safe mode beacuse my car had over boosted. My advice would be to check and clear any engine codes.

If it is the no matter what you should replace the precat. It will fail eventually if it hasnt already. Downpipes are cheap as hell on the for sale section of the forum. I got my HKS ss downpipe for 110 shipped.

Also, I would check your plugs. I had some stuttering and ignition break-up when on boost, then i cleaned my plugs and it fixed my problem.

Pulling the codes off the ecu doesnt hurt anything either. It only takes a few seconds to do.
