Day time running lights.

So I just recently moved to BC. And thus needed a out of province inspection.

The car failed, due to not having day time running lights. The shop wanted 400 dollars to do this, and well that seems ridiculous.

So I'm sure somewhere there is a write up about this, or if you guys could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Cheers,

Mark

Here are some good options for you:

The LEDay Flex units are pretty cool:

You can install them anywhere on the front in any pattern you wish. I have a similar setup that I put inside my 99 spec turn signals. FYI - these were pointed out to me by another forum member.

thanks for the suggestions men!

I just got the Bumper lights wired into a relay, seemed to be the fastest rout.

As long as the lights turn on with the car (ignition) that's enough to pass an OPP (day time running lights wise....)

Canadian Tire has DRL kit that wraps one wire around a spark plug wire to sense when the engine is running. They do the OPP inspections and will even install for you if you wanted. Just run a set of cheap fog lights off them and you will pass no problems.

Cheers !
