Stupid thing... here we go.

Just installed, I love it. Formerly known as the CWC widefoot pedal. Better than Sled Driver's. $65. Contact David Breslau at dbreslau@mit.edu to get your own. Will try to post pics.

Well, my Sled Driver pedal looks much better than that. Don't see how it'll work much better either---IIRC, I have about the same gap between my stop and my go pedal.....

Rx-7$4$me 07-07-03 06:22 PM

im sorry, but that looks HORRIBLE

I have been using the "small" Widefoot pedal adapter for >3.5 years. It makes heel and toe very easy, is very nicely made, installs non-desrtuctively (no holes required), and has never given me any problems. It's a great product.

It does look very fugly, half rubber and half aluminum.

But if it works, more power to you guys.

maxcooper 07-07-03 06:56 PM

It's not a freaking fashion accessory! It is designed to make it easier to heel and toe with a minimum of fuss, and it meets those goals beautifully.

Yeah I agree... you are worried about how the pedal looks? Who cares, I think it looks ok and I'm sure it works great. Maybe you should run down to the local parts place and look for some trendy glowing washer nozzles... :p

I tried, but they don't have 'em in yellow :(

rynberg 07-07-03 08:24 PM

I think I'm with Max, Wargasm, and Fdeez on this one. The pedal extension looks fine to me and I like that it is a "non-destructive" install, as Max pointed out.

Radical Rotary Avantgard 07-07-03 08:40 PM

It is an easy install NO holes to drill, won't decrease the legroom distance by 1/16 of an inch (I need all the space I can have), the finish is par to none, plus it is functional more than anything.
I must say that I have not seen the sled pedal, if anyone cares to post a picture.
Thanks

It may work great but it's still ugly... :puke:

I like the sled driver ones better too. Too bad he's been shut down.

Ditto. I've also got David's large pedal, but haven't tried it yet. Better construction and finish than the stock pedals. Perfect functionality. Minimal added weight. Track tested, right-foot-approved.

Nice pedal!!

Fishy 07-08-03 05:20 PM

Fitted it some time ago. It is the large, and have found it made heel n toe a hell of a lot easier.

I have SledDriver's pedals also BUT since I LEFT FOOT BRAKE my Auto the Heel/ Toe issue is moot to me - However the Wider Acclerator does feel much better under my Right Foot and his Brake pedal gives MUCH Better Grip under my left than the oem hard rubber cover. :D

FDeez 07-08-03 05:33 PM

The key to this pedal is that it sits flushed with the stock pedal. That way, when you brake, you don't have to lift your heel as high to hit the throttle. Sled driver's was okay too, but this makes heel to toe really really easy. It's polished.. so it looks better than sled driver's. However, installed it looks weird with the stock pedal, but hey, function over form. You have to try it to believe it. It's awesome!

chiminoid 07-08-03 05:45 PM

i wanted sled driver's pedals but since he's out of operation i might try this one. problem is $65 is a bit steep for a pedal adapter
