Datalogit and Wideband Install Writeup
I installed a wideband oxygen sensor and Datalogit about a year ago but only recently got around to cleaning up the wiring. A short writeup can be found here.

Nice write-up. I like the accessability of the Datalogit port for logging.

My PFC, Datalogit and Innovation Wideband reset/connectors are all in the glovebox. The units are velcro'd to the inside of the box. As the area where the stereo was now has gauges, I've thought adding another DIN plate and mounting the Datalogit and Wideband reset switch there would be cleaner than stuffing them in the glovebox. I also wired through the wheelwell, but went through the passenger side. This required removing the fender, but that isn't really too difficult. Then I drilled 3 holes behind the ECU, ran several sets of wires through grommets, and sealed with RTV. Another option if you have removed your AC, is to use the hole in the firewall where the pipes to the evaporator were. Nice big opening there to route wires. |
Well done !

I love the idea of mounting the commander holder on a cig lighter socket. It works, it's within reach, and you didn't cut, drill, or glue anything expensive!

Nice write up and clean install! A great example for the rest of us.

Nicely done! Only problem for me is that I need the cig lighter socket to power my radar detector...

Wow! Lovely write up! I just got my PFC in (bless Ramy), now just waiting for a little bit of leeway in my wallet to be able to get my windband, among other things.
This just might be a good template. Thanks! Rob |
