Dash Cluster and No Start Issue

I drove my FD the other day without having any signs of issues but when I went to start my FD today, I noticed that none of the instrument cluster is functioning. Normally, when the key is turned to "ON", there is an audible click and the odometer and various status lights come on. However, there is no longer that "click" and nothing happens on the cluster.

Along with this, the turn signals no longer function and the car will crank freely but will not turn over. Turning the headlights on will illuminate the cluster and all other lights/electronics appear to be working. I looked through all the fuses and they also all seem to be intact.

Has anyone had experience with this? I'm not sure where to begin with this and didn't come across much with the search.

max,

Q1: How did you post in the main 3rd gen section? Your low post count means that you should only be able to post in the New Members area.
Q2: What fuses did you check?
Q3: How did you check the fuses?
Q4: Have you done any work to the car before taking it for a drive?
Q5: Did you verify any electrical connectors? You may want to check the Body CPU (CPU #2).
Q6: Have you looked at the click-click no start thread? You could have a problem in the starter cut relay.
Q7: Do you at least hear any start up beeps like seat belt warning tone or the parking light warning tone?

The METER fuse is responsible for providing power to the instrument cluster AND the cooling system (fans). I would advise you not to drive the car unless you know for certain that the cooling system (fans) work.

Not trying to give you guff here, but you've been a member since 2013 and only have 6 posts? We should work on increasing that post count with this current problem then. Lastly, what did you research? The excuse you gave is a common one that junior members use. Generally, the more info you provide will yield more interest in your thread. Did you consult the FSM? What year is your FD? Are there any mods that may be suspect to this problem?

When testing fuses, you need to either pull each one out and verify it isn't burnt or better use a multimeter in continuity mode and go down each fuse and test that there is continuity on each one. Physically staring at the fuse block won't get you anything.

This isn't a common issue, it's going to require some digging and work to find where the problem is. Another possibility is if your car is lowered and the driver's side tire rubbed through the fender liner and rubbed into the wiring harness, that can break wires in the harness and cause all sorts of weird problems.
