Damian's manual boost controller question.

Hey, i'm going to get started on this pretty soon. I have one question though. How do I get to the part on the top left hand corner that says. . . .

"By pass the solenoids by just connecting the pipes directly"

Pics, comments, and suggestions on the best way to get to this area would be APPERCATED :D Thanks!

Follow each hose coming from the stock solenoids. The lines basically come up from the actuator, thru the solenoid, and back down. The rubber sections all end in about the same place, at the top of that metal tree of hard lines, which is below the crossover pipe IIRC. You're short-circuiting these hoses so they don't leak.

Just remove the four hoses running to/from the solenoids and replace them with 2 hoses that run like the picture shows.

So the first set of solenoids are underneath the crossover pipe? So basicly i'm going to have to remove the intake pipes and cross-over pipe to get to these? That doesn't sound like a big deal.

Just remember. I've only learned to do maintaince recently so i'm still scared to take crap apart :D

Thanks!

You'll need to remove the vacuum chamber in front of the UIM to get to the solenoids easily.

I've done this mod, but I took everything apart.

Yep, that's the deal.

BTW, for future reference the tank in front of the UIM is the pressure chamber. (The vacuum chamber is the one under the alternator and power steering pump)

My mistake. My point is the same though.

ANOTHER QUESTION:

Where did you guys mount the boost controllers? How would i go about making the brackets for these controllers? Thanks- Clayton T.
