is the CRV actually needed?

I'm trying to clean up my engine bay by removing some of the hoses and hiding some others. I was wondering if the crv is actually needed or can I just take it out and leave the BOV?

Sure, not sure why you really want to....

I'm making my own intake and I want to make it look cleaner on that side of the house with out all those hoses on the way.

Most of the aftermarket intakes still route the CRV (and stock BOV) back into the intake track. The CRV is venting until around 4000 rpms, so you'll have hissing until that point.

I got another question, on my old FD the air pump was "t" to the cat and the air box. on this one, the cat goes to the air box and so do the air pump separatley. can I just plug the air pump straight to the cat?

I firgure out what I'm going to do. I'm just going to take the hard pipes to a muffler shop and tell them to weld 2 nipples to them.
