CPU (Seatbelt blinking light, alarm buzzing)

Hello members,

I got the capacitors in my CPU replaced because I notice two were leaking (causing my alarm to buzz and seatbelt light to blink). The people advised me that they replaced all three however; they seem to have replaced the capacitors with incorrect sizes. I wanted to know if anyone can confirm the capacitor sizes.

If my memory serves me correctly the capacitor sizes are:

100 uF 16 volt
. 47 uF 50 volt

2.20 uF 200 volt (I need to confirm if this is the correct size?)

If anyone has replaced their capacitors before could you please confirm.

Thanks,

Andre

I have an extra CPU #2 at work that has leaky capacitors. I will try to remember to check for you tomorrow morning.

I appreciate it, thanks.

I purchased the two capacitors today and soldier them in, got the alarm to stop buzzing and the seatbelt light to stop blinking... all I need is to confirm the 3rd capacitor for the
Ignition key recognition.

Ok I have a CPU #2 labeled FD01. These are the capacitors the way they are labeled on the board:

C3: 16v 220uF
C1: 16v 47uF
C2: 16v 10uF
C5: 50v 0.47uF
C7: 50v 3.3 uF
C6: 16v 22 uF

They are out of order because I wrote them down starting with the one at the top and worked my way down. There is a C8 and C4 capacitors on the board but they are the little tiny disc style and I don't know the values.
Replacing them fixed your problems? I have the blinking seatbelt light and some random problems with the alarm so I need to do this fix also. I can see where the caps leaked out.

I'm following up on this post even though its over a year old. Does anyone have a good location to purchase capacitors, diodes and resisters required to replace my leaking ones from my CPU #2?

I noted the data off of my capacitors and looked them up in digikey(dot)com as a number of people have recommended, but I couldn't find the exact item that I need.

Any recommendations? I found about 10 items (capacitors, resisters and diodes) on my CUP#2 that I need to replace.

I've been getting a flashing seat belt light for the past 2 years. I've also had no door light, key light, etc for about 5 years. I just learned that they're ll interrelated.

Thanks,

Sorry for the late reply, but you can replace the caps with caps that are rated for a higher voltage than the original one. With that in mind you should be able to find replacements for all of them on Digikey. If you still have trouble, you can go up to a about a 10% higher Farad rating without issue.

Sorry for bringing this thread back to life after so long, but I think this shows the value of this forum, and searches. As these cars get older, electronics are starting to fail here and there. I had a flashing seatbelt light and no key chimes before starting the vehicle. After replacing the CPU discussed in the thread above, all of my issues were solved. Good stuff.

Thanks to LeeC parts for the CPU!
