couple questions

Hey, I'm still putting the new engine in my car, but I'm just wondering when I do get it all done, when should I start thinking about rebuilding? I'm shooting for 400hp so I know I'll have to turn the boost up, how much do you think it will need? Also, I've searched and found a few different answers so I figure I'd ask here, so how do you break in a rotary?

Here's the mods:
Pettit Streetport
PFC
Apexi fmic
HKS dual intake
3"dp
3"mp
RB catback
850cc primary
1300cc secondary
BNR stage 3 sequential
Al rad
RE dual oil coolers
underdrive pulley kit
some other stuff I can't think of

If you are putting a new engine in your car, why are you thinking about rebuilding?

bencb44 06-07-05 02:33 PM

because I know it'll have to be done eventually and I like to be prepared so I can make sure I have enough money to rebuild when it does.

Ignition
Fuel pump (s)

while you have your engine out you should do a nice street port. why dont you just build your engine up right now that way you dont have to do it later?

Thanks adam, forgot to say that I have a Supra fuel pump, and the Bonez Street-Comp clutch and ACT lightweight steel flywheel

So, any guesses on engine life? How about how to break it in?
