could this cause limp mode?

The fd I am looking at needs a new coolant tmep and level sensor.
could that put it in limp mode?
will limp mode make boosting impossible?
are those sensors easy to replace?

Yes. If there is a problem with the coolant thermosensor, it will make the car run like crap. As for the coolant level sender, that doesn't cause a problem with the running of the car, just an annoying buzzer in the cockpit.

They aren't hard at all to change out if they are really a problem. You can have the owner pull the ECU codes (if it has the stock ECU). The coolant thermosensor will throw a code if its not working properly.

List of codes here: http://fd3s.net/engine_codes.html
