Cop Issues

Anyone know which would pull a cop over more?

a 93' R1 Red FD
or a Black FD

I think imma get a new paint job done but dont know which color to go for

Cop issues big where i live so I need one that avoids them

Thanks
Phil

A black car period will pull less looks than a red car. So if you're trying to play low-key with the coppers, get the black car. There's a reason they paint fire trucks red, and that's so you will notice them.

Well, the brighter the color, the more attention you'll draw. However, even if you pick a dark/dull color, if you have some loud exhaust, color won't matter. ;)

i think black would be better than red...

red is the general color of sports cars and its probably one of the first thing a cop notices when he/she is scoping a pack of cars.. a nice red sports car

Definantly go with black

Red sucks for stealth against cops

RX7withNitrous Oct 13, 2002 11:56 AM

go for yellow :)

Silver

Yeah, black is a little more stealthy. But.....dark cars are more likely to get hit, according to national statistics.

Just do what I do. Join/support as many police, sherriff, and highway patrol organizations as you can. Be part of a neighborhood watch program. Show the cops you are a good citizen. That way if you do get a little feisty sometime, or get pulled over for MINOR speeding offenses, the cops MIGHT be inclined to let you go.

Hey, it can't hurt! :D

Silverstone Metallic :)

Cops must have probable reason for pulling you over. However, expect to have them make up some bullshit reason - happens all the time to me. "Is this eally your car" "yeah, it is, dumb fuck, want to see the registration?" I have no respect for cops that stereotype against all younger people

driving

i drive like everyone else and like im the only one that the guy pulls over for like no reason.

One time this cop followed me like all around town and decides to actually pull me over and was like, umm... ur tail light was a little dimmer on the left side. i was like, ????, and he was like alright just make sure u get that fixed. and just leaves ugh. (before i met my g/f) can i sue the damn department for doing this?

thanks
phil

Only if you can prove racial or some othere kind of profiling.

Just be glad you did not get a ticket... they can also do that without a reason.:whipit:

Had red FD, everyone idiot wanted to race me and the cops were all over me. Some just stopped me to look at the car. I have white now, much better.

Quik 93 FD Oct 15, 2002 06:30 PM

Cops follow me all the time, get used to it. They see a young guy driving a fast car and they will immediately suspect that your up to no good. I got followed for 3 miles by a cop. As soon as i stopped, he waited for me to get out of the car and then drove away. BTW, Mines Black....

Well, the Cal vehicle code is quite thick and there is some crazy stuff in there. Basically, the police can pull you over for whatever, because it is in the vehicle code. Heck there is a Vehicle code(and I cant find it now, damn, because I want to use it) that lets the police pull you over to check anything. So, if I suspect you have no cat, pull you over to check.
Some loser idiots sit in your state capitals and make up all these laws. So, dont blame the cops, blame these idiot lawmakers. Seriously, browse thru a vehicle code sometime. Someone thought of these; a person cannot wear glasses where the side skirts, as you will, are thicker than 5/16". Its a law, I know someone who wrote a grandma a ticket for that.

Silver blends very well into traffic, as does white.
