Cooling system upgrade

Although my car has no cooling problems, and I'm fairly sure I've eliminated coolant seal failure, I was going to upgrade the radiator then thought why not do everything involved.
So plan on doing:
Alloy radiator
Silicone hoses
Alloy AST (any opinions on this/elimanating altogether?)
New caps
New thermostat
And wondering if I should replace the waterpump?

Might add...my car runs constant 73/74 degrees celcius, even thrashing around hills and in traffic won't heat above 81 absolute max and this is only breifly (fans kick in at 79 degrees) and gets back to it's 73/74. I can't see this being a prob but any reason why it runs cooler than most FD's, as I know most see well into the 80's? (temps through PFC)
I run a big single with stock block but plan on pulling motor and porting in a couple months time for more power hence why I though might as well do cooling now.

Cheers!

your car runs colder than most on here because you are in nz and not california

or AZ or FL or TX...lol awesome temps...maybe you just aren't " thrashing around hills and in traffic" right.

sounds like you have all the right goods!

Why ask us? You gotta tell me how you accomplished that so I can do the same thing! Are you sure the radiator wasn't changed when you upgraded the turbo? Not even the oil cooler? Is it a special coolant? Ducting? Do you still have the A/C condenser? Vented hood? Special thermostat?

I guess it also helps if you use a new OE radiator instead of a 16 year old OE radiator. So maybe your car is just running the way it was supposed to be because someone took care of it right.

Here in EL Centro where it is 100 by 8am my car stay pretty cool. When driving normal It never goes above 77 on the PFC. When constantly boosting never goes above 86. All I have is a Koyo N flow

The FAQ thread stickied in this forum has a few excellent threads on the cooling system. You would be wiser if you read them.

Brought the car with the single turbo conversion done. Radiator is a stock item, it could be replaced OE, the thermostat perhaps but I guess time will tell if anything changes once I upgrade the system.

GodSquadMandrake, no special coolant, no special ducting, runs twin oil coolers and a carbon vented hood. I'll update this thread when I've done it all and see if my temps change whatsoever.
Sweet I'll check those sticked threads also.
Cheers

I wonder if the vented hood and twin oil coolers have something to do with it.
