Cooling problem..
 

I went through a couple pages of peoples cooling problems, but I couldnt quite find one that matches my problem,

I drove my FD pretty hard one day, I heard a bubbling over by the intake, opened up the radiator, the antifreeze was bubbling hardcore(did it after a half hour), and it was brown(looked like it had rust in it). One of my buddies filled it up with some water, I drive about 15miles again(to check to see if its a reoccurring problem), I go get a bite to eat, and there is TONS of water/coolant that came out of the bottom, the car was still extremely hot after about an hour of letting it cool down.

Also, whenever I drive it, the inside of the car smells like clutch fluid...I've been driving manual cars for years, (it cant be my shifting, that I know), Whats is a possible fix for that?

Does this mean I have to flush the cooling system? or is it possible I have a bad coolant seal(god I hope not), Mind you I drove it very mildly today, and had no problems with it leaking, just overheated a bit. Thanks guys!

DO NOT DRIVE IT ANYMORE!!!!!

If there is a leak that is more severe than a drip, do not drive the car until the leak is sourced and fixed. Driving an FD with coolant missing is playing russian roulette with your engine. Don't even start the car. Just have it towed or whatever is necessary.

You could have cracked your radiator end tank, or burst a hose. AST cracking is also possible. Read up on cooling reliability mods.

I talked to a pretty well known FD mechanic, he said that for me to check the overflow tank, check if its cracked, mind you its a bit dark outside, and I cant see much, however, i drove it today,(mild driving, not showing up any civics or anything), and it was perfect, no dripping/pouring of water/coolant. I drove it a good 30miles today, and nothing was wrong, just a bit of overheating in the engine bay.

What do you mean by 'overheating?' Is this per an aftermarket temp gauge, or are you saying that the engine bay seems hotter to you? Get a bright flashlight and poke around a bit. You should be able to see where the coolant is coming from. And I agree 100% with dgeesaman, do NOT drive it anymore. A new motor is not cheap or fun to tackle yourself :)

check the air separator, even if its fine, its good to get a metal one. anyway, since your temps are way over boiling temp, its gonna boil. so......
