Coolant Tanks?
Is anyone clued up on The Revolution type coolant tanks? I am after one i don't need to use an AST with but all the ones I’m coming across are the unsprug cap type? I have the Second gen Neck in at the mo but come to the conclusion i really need an AST but want the space as well (if that makes sence)

The link you posted to RHD Japan is for a replacement thermostat housing - that will NOT replace/eliminate the AST. That's why it has a screw-on cap instead of a pressure cap, that's just a fill cap. The nipple under it is the nipple that goes to the side of the AST.
I bought one of these tanks a while back and it wouldn't fit on a twin turbo setup - the Y-pipe has to go right where the tank was. The tank would have needed to be offset to one side a bit to clear the Y-pipe. Like there is NO WAY it would work without massive fabbing on a twin turbo or if you have a Y-pipe that shoots straight forward like for a large SMIC. Dale |
that hose could also be going to the overflow tank if the ast was deleted on this car. basically the same as the fc thermostat filler neck, which he has already as the op stated...but its probably routed to the ast since its a non pressure cap.
