coolant overflow..

So I reset the ecu and let it idle for 10 minutes, then let it idle about 10 more with the headlights on to re-learn itself. I drove it around a little. Got back and I had coolant leaking from the overflow. The buzzer came on for low coolant as well. the weirdest part is it sounds like a boiling waterfall in the resevoir. I think there are some cracks in the bottom of it that are allowing coolant and air to escape creating the sound b/c i can put a towel upto the bottom of the resevoir and push up and it will quiet down...temps got to maybe 210-215 tops.

The reservoir is just that (commonly called a recovery tank) there is no pressure and when cold should never be over the full mark or below the low level mark to work correctly. The sound your hearing is air and coolant being pushed into the tank because your cooling system is boiling over. The low level buzzer in the filler neck warning is telling you that you have gotten air in your system, the low level alarm is not for the recovery tank. You need to let the system cool down get your recovery tank level back to it's correct level, get the air out of your cooling system, top off the AST (if you still have it), top off the fill neck and check your caps for proper seal. Pressure testing would be in line with finding the reason for the boiling over condition (it may not do it again once the air is removed).
