Coolant Leak on a New Engine and Turbos?!?!?!
I start my car today and a plume of white smoke which is sweet smelling erupts from my exhaust, practically filling the neightborhood with smoke... So obviously its coolant which is coming into the engine and getting burned. Now here's the thing: I just got a new engine about 600 miles ago and rebuilt my turbos about 600 miles ago. Finally, one thing is that when I'm driving, I notice that the oil level drops rapidly i.e. I've had to put about a quart of oil into the engine every fifty or so miles... Any ideas??? PLEASE HELP!

Either your rebuilder did not do a good job in installing all the seals, or that you pushed the motor to the limit right after the install, causing one of the seals to go prematurely. There is a break in period for an engine, and if you avoided that, that could just be bad.
So, if your buring oil, then a seal is bad. If your buring coolant, one of the seals is bad. Either way, one of the seals must have gone bad and you might need another rebuild.....:( |
agreed, u might even find it hard to start later on...

Who did your engine rebuild?
It is very unlikely that it is your turbos are leaking coolant. |
I also want to know who built your engine..
I'm not taking my engine there.. |
