controlling boost with PFC?

Ok I am about to do the Single turbo conversion.
and I already have a PFC.

WHY do I need/should get a seperate boost controller?
When my PFC is a boost controller??
Is the PFC with a 3 bar map sensor that BAD, that
a seperate boost controller is needed???

Not that I am beign cheap but DAMN.
I already gave a arm/leg/kidney..

and now the FD want my LIVER for a seperate boost
controller that the PFC already does.. Talk about
redundant..

thanks

Just get a homedepot MBC or a ball & spring valve. My PFC doesn't controll my boost at all....

I have never tried to use the PFC to control boost, but I have a Profec B doing the duty and I can tell you that it works just fine. I figured spending $200 for a boost controller thats known to work very well is better than taking a chance on a much more costly engine rebuild if/when the PFC doesn't do it properly.

Some of the forum members are controlling boost just fine with the PFC, some have had nothing but trouble with it. It's a chance you take I guess. But if you're already shelling out the big bucks for a single turbo conversion, I'd say go for it and get a good boost controller while you're at it.

Some people have sucess with controlling it with the PFC, some don't. I was one of the one's that didn't and had to go with a profec B.
