Connector near front relay box?

1 Attachment(s)
My car is coming together at a much faster pace, now. I've got the new radiator in, and as I was hooking the fans back up, I found another electrical connector. . . that I don't know where it goes.

I comes from just under the front relay box, right around the two fan connectors. I don't think it can go anywhere into the main harness. . .none of them are even long enough. I took pictures as I went along, but can't seem to find this baby in any pics. I'm hoping it's not important and was disconnected by the previous owner, but would like to know for sure.

Hopefully somebody will know off the top of their head, so I don't have to go searching through the shop manual.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm just hoping I don't have to go back and take something apart to plug this damn thing in. Hopefully it is just fog lights. . .don't have any. By the way. . .that's one big ass turbo, Busted!!

Anybody know for sure?

Looks like the connector for the fog lamp. Have you found the other one?

If its a 4 prong plug im pretty sure its fog lights. The turbo is just a little guy 62-1, but thanks.

I don't have fog lights. It is a two pronged connector, if that helps anybody.

Again. . . I don't think it was connected to anything when I started working on it, but I'm not sure. I can't find the other end to it anywhere.

I have the same connector on my harness and it's not plugged into anything, and I do not have fog lights. I've never noticed any issues.

Hmmm.......I went out and looked at my car, I saw a black connector with a yellow inside, two prongs, hooked to nothing. The one in your picture looked like a gray connector with orange....correct?

sbnrx7 04-29-07 10:02 PM

I don't have fog lamps either but I do have two of those plugs located left and right up front.

Scratch that. Went out to the car and took a couple of pics of my un-used fog lamp connectors. Mine are black. Sorry for the shitty quality but you get the point.

Should just be the fog lamp connector like everyone said. I removed mine and that's exactly where and what one of the fog lamp plugs is on my car.

Hood latch.

rx slim 04-30-07 05:40 AM

It is grey with orange interior. . .I'm not too concerned it's anything important, but now the curiosity is killing me. Gotta be fog lights. . .right?

Eggie 04-30-07 11:46 AM

Nope. It connects to the hood latch for the alarm system. The connector goes low and in back, under the airbag sensor.

rx slim 04-30-07 03:19 PM

Cool, thanks eggie. I don't have any alarm features. I will be able to sleep better now.
