Computer Q's

So i just purchased an FD to replace my 2nd gen project car (it was going nowhere fast in a big way) the new car is plumbed with "poor mans nonsequentials" coming out to a downpipe and 3" exhaust. Boost jumps quickly from about 3k5, and I'm not a big fan of blowing up engines, and i'd like to shift on rpm rather than boost. I have a Blitz FATT that i have more questions about- and an Apex'i PFC (not installed yet).

So my question is as follows: What do you all think of the Blitz SBC-ID as that's the unit i've had my eye on? A shop around here that i like to refer to as "honda gouging" has an old Profec B that they'll let go of for 350. Money isn't a huge object but i don't wanna spend more than about $500 and it has to come in black.

Second question: my blitz FATT timer works great but if i lock the car when i shut the door when the timer expires it unlocks the doors. Kinda defeats the purpose imho. I have an alarm but it won't arm while the engine is running. Any suggestions on that end?

Thanks again,
Convert

1. You don't need a turbo timer with these cars. The turbos are water and oil-cooled.

2. You can get a brand new Profec Type-s (virtually identical to the Profec B spec I) for $300.

3. If you have a midpipe installed (no cat), you will likely experience boost creep, which a boost controller will not help (the stock wastegate becomes overwhelmed). If this is the case, you have three solutions -- install a hi-flow cat instead, port the wastegate, or install a restrictor plate.

4. Install the PFC pronto and read up on it in the PFC sub-forum. Chuck Westbrook (cewrx7r1) and Kyle (twokrx7) have posted tons of valuable info over the years there.

It does have a midpipe- so boost creep is unavoidable eh? i kinda figured i needed to port the wastegate after i read the non-sequential tuts.

I didn't want to install the pfc before winter. i need the cold start functionality.
