So it looks, albeit cold, that for rotor 1 there is 11.77 PSI between face 1 and 2 and 11.77 between face 2 ant 3 with a total between 1 and 3 at 23.53 which is 20% of the average cranking values.
Now compare this data to the FSM which states: 100 PSI at 250 RPM adjusted for altitude Differential limit between chambers (rotor faces) 21 PSI min Differential limit of rotors 14 PSI min It appears that if this was a warm engine it would be slightly out of spec between faces 1 and 3 right? Also it appears the word "min" should be "max" and I have never really understood the differential limit of rotors other than it must be a totalized average using the SST. I like the tool a lot; it would be great for trending on competition engines. |
So most likely somethings wrong with that face? Stuck side seal or chipped corner seal?
