Compression test
Quick background info. Rebuilt my motor this winter but could not get the car to start. Come to find out that I had low compression in the front rotor. Well, i push started it and ran it for 20 min. Just did another compression test and I am not getting the 3 even pulses like i should. I get two little ones (about 15 psi) and one larger one (35 psi). So common sense would tell me that there is an issue with one of the apex seals right? that seal would cause 2 of the rotor faces to lack the proper compression. Before I tear into this just would like to see what you guys think.

Last year, I lost a seal in my 85 GSL-SE. Did the poor mans compression test to it. Pulled a spark plug on the front rotor and cranked the motor while listening to the sound it made. The thing went duh, duh, Tsss. I knew something was very bad wrong after hearing that. The rear rotor didn`t do it. Sold the motor to a guy who had plans to rebuild it. A month or 2 later I saw him again. He told me that one apex seal had broken in the front rotor housing. What you are saying makes sense. If you lose one seal, 2 chambers will be dead or of low compression. One chamber will be fine. Sometimes losing a seal will destroy a whole rotor housing if it flies apart or rolls out of the rotor. I am assuming you already know this though.

Two weak pulses does indicate an apex seal problem. Or maybe the corner seal also.
