compression check

New to the forum and world of rotary. My car is a '94 w/ about 95,000 miles. Is it possible to get a correct compression reading w/out running the engine prior to the test. Is it also possible to check the primary injectors to see if they are leaking.

I can not get the car started. I changed the plugs and wires because they were bad and also changed the fuel filter but still no start. Any help is greatly appreciated

I dont think you can do the test without the engine running. As for checking the injectors, you have to take everything apart and then take them out, which is a pain in the ass. I'm not sure if you can tell they're leaking just by looking, but they new ones are purple in color and they usually fail at 100k+ miles. You can also tell they're leaking if you smell gas from the engine bay. Since it's a PITA just to check the injectors, you might as well replace them with new ones at the same time. How many miles are on the engine? If the 95k you're talking about is original, then I think the engine is going out soon.

Your car could be flooded. Go to the search function at the top right and search for flooded engine or car won't start, etc. When the engine floods the gas washs out the oil needed to seal the chambers for good compression.
