Cold electrical problems?
This morning has been the coldest we've had in TX so far (45 degrees?) and when I went out to start the FD, blipped the throttle, waited about 15 seconds and my hazard flashers flashed once, waited about 3 seconds, flashed again twice in succession, then stopped. I hit the hazard button to make sure they weren't on. They weren't. Turned them back on and waited for another couple seconds, once, 2 or 3 seconds later once again, 3 seconds later twice.. Made sure the blinkers were actually blinking and it wasn't just the lights on the console. By the time I came back out after the car was warmed up to start driving 5-10 minutes later, it had stopped.
Never had anything like that happen with any car of mine, and this is the first time I've seen this happen. Any ideas? |
It may be a faulty "flasher". You can replace that pretty easily. OR you may want to check the connections of all wiring associated w/ the hazard lights. A wire may have come lose and is shorting itself when you turn on the ignition.
Basically, check your wiring. |
