Clutch Switch Replaced, Now High Idle??
 

Checked the clutch switch and sure enough, it was getting stuck about half way out (pix). Replaced it and now the idle surging and stall issue seems to be gone.

But now we have an idle of 1300-1500.

What is the simplest way to adjust the idle.

Stock ECU, downpipe, Fighters' Garage Intake

Any help would be appreciated.

Adjust the air bleed screw on the bottom of the throttle body, under the elbow. That should be all you need to do unless the throttle plate adjustments are messed up.

The screw under the elbow is hard to see, and can be very difficult to locate if you don't already know where it is. Use a small mirror to see it, then adjustment will be easy.

Thanks, Adam. One more clarification: the screw is actually on the left end of the throttle body, near the bottom, under the elbow. I didn't state it very clearly the 1st time.

One more clarification: It's on the drivers side, and you will have to open the hood to get to it :)

When you are adjusting the idle speed with stock ECU, you MUST jumper the GND and TEN terminals on the diagnostic box. That will set the ISC valve to a fixed duty before you turn the air adjusting screw. See service manual pages F-16 and F-17.
