cluster hood fix

Shattered cluster hood =(, now reinforced with fiberglass. unfortunately this is 94 interior pieces and the texture is too hard to match. I tried using chip guard by SEM but it didn't match and the cracks were too uneven after gluing back together. so i went another route. ultra seude fabric. pictures show it to be more purple, but its definitely much darker. Came out decent. BUBBLETECH HURRY UP WITH CLUSTER HOOD PLEASE

looks nice! If you have other interior bits this would look great as an accent to your interior.

That's good, but I also used ultrasuede to cover the cracked hood in my car- after 8 months the sun turned it bright purple. Turns out ultrasuede is not very UV resistant and now it looks like a$$.

I consulted a few upholsterers and they told me that ultrasuede and alcantara is NOT to be used for direct sun-facing areas as no brand makes a UV stable version that will not fade badly.

My next step is to rip the ugly purple ultrasuede off, and try something more UV suitable. I don't know what.

Thought about that.. but should be okay.. car is garaged.. also thinking about putting some window film on the front windshield to block uv rays. Did this for my wife's car and works awesome. I may try some fabric uv protectant also. Either way, only temporary until bubbletech comes out with permanent solution
